In all honesty I cannot think of anything theoretical to write about at the moment but that is since I have 'had my head within the weeds' for the past couple of weeks. I have been doing the doing of Seo (for myself and at perform) very intensely and that has left little time for thinking about how or why we do the things we do in the doing of Search engine optimization.
That stated (and I promise I won't repeat it), I occasionally hear from friends who are in transit. It seems to me that I've heard from more than several lately ('lately' being one thing like 'this year'). I don't usually speak of my friends and co-workers on-line since, well, frankly that keeps me out of trouble.
So I thought I'd break with tradition and introduce you, my readers (and online friends) to some of my other friends who also have connections with the Seo industry. And let me say that I have ulterior motives for doing this, not the least getting that I am tired of seeing these folks not be noticed. I have often (well, occasionally) stated that the majority of Search engine optimization specialists and gurus and wizards do not truly promote themselves on the internet. I think that to be accurate.
I also believe that's a shame, because numerous individuals are actually struggling to distinguish themselves from the crowd when seeking new clients, applying for jobs, or just attempting to share an opinion somewhere in a meeting or in their offices. Here are a few people whose Seo and marketing opinions mean one thing to me. Some of them might currently be taking on clients. Some of them could be in a position to help YOU. I'll list them alphabetically by last name.
Nicolette Beard first contacted me prior to I left Houston in 2006. We met once or twice in person and have spoken on the phone numerous times and have exchanged a lot more than a couple of emails. I cannot say I have worked with Nicolette but she has much more than 20 years' experience in marketing and advertising, at least five years' experience in on-line marketing (such as working for a main company and doing consulting perform), and she nearly persuaded me to go into business with her'except that I had already produced a career choice to leave Houston. To this day I've wondered if operating with Nicolette wouldn't have provided at least as fantastic a path as the one I've led so far.
Nicolette's independent consulting firm is Searchlight Advertising. I wish I could say I have stayed in touch with her enough to know when she is taking on customers but I don't. She did let me know earlier this year she had moved to the Naples, FL area and I see that she is now connected with the American Enterprise Womens' Association Neapolitan chapter in Florida. Nicolette is intelligent, tenacious, insightful, and motivated. I would suggest her any day of the week.
Carlos Del Rio was an Seo technician at Visible Technologies when I started working there in 2006. Carlos and the 'traditional' or 'core' Seo team handled a lot of clients having a diverse set of requirements. As Director of Search Methods I was occasionally asked to make myself obtainable to the core Search engine optimization team as a secondary voice of authority but most of our conversations delved into all that theoretical stuff I've been writing about for the past several years. Carlos is smart, intuitive, and methodical and he made me think on more than 1 occasion. You can find also a lot more than a handful of Search engine optimization Theory articles that were written after Carlos and I had discussed some esoteric stuff in detail.
You might already know Carlos as the co-author of User Driven Alter as well as the CEO at Agillian Advertising Services. I've never observed Carlos present himself as a theorist within the field of search engine optimization but if there is an Search engine optimization Theorist's club and in the event you need to be voted in, Carlos has my vote. Take that for what it's worth.
I do not significantly like his existing Twitter picture but I'd work with Carlos again any time.
Sae Dvorak is really a Web designer who worked on my team at Visible Technologies for a couple of years. She handled every crazy project I threw at her and on numerous occasions exceeded my expectations. To say that I sometime asked the Net designers to take some really boring concepts and make them exciting does not do justice to the designers. Sae's work was imaginative and inspirational. Sae came to us having a total set of Web design skills along with a basic understanding of Search engine optimization. She would be an asset to any organization that desires to develop a creative team that gets on the internet marketing.
When I heard from Sae recently she was freelancing and also seeking more permanent opportunities. If you want some good freelance work, now may be the time to connect with her. If your business is looking for a solid Internet developer who knows site structure inside out, you'd be crazy not to reach out to Sae. I can't advocate her work sufficient.
Bo Seeger was also a member of Visible Technologies' 'core' Seo team when I began working there. Like Carlos Bo is very wise but though he always handled the theoretical discussions properly (and even helped teach our Seo classes) Bo has often enjoyed the hands-on challenge of turning a website around, growing site visitors, and satisfying those hard-to-please clients. He even took on a significant PPC campaign in addition to his organic Seo customers where the client demanded (and RECEIVED) a 4-to-1 return on investment.
Bo was promoted to Search engine optimization Manager at Visible Technologies and eventually succeeded me as head of the search reputation management team when I transferred to an additional department. He has extensive managerial encounter and can take any intern-level Search engine optimization newbie and train them up to be a competent Seo specialist in six months (give or take). Bo is currently freelancing and tells me he is taking on clients.
He's good, really good, and I would not want to need to compete against him.
Kent Yunk is really a friend of mine and I've had the pleasure of working with him. He is transitioning into his own consultancy and operating with his wife Melanie's Search engine optimization firm Roaring Pajamas (I enjoy that name!). Kent Yunk is a world-class search engine optimization engineer, specialist, theorist, you-name-it. He has carried out some amazing projects. He knows how to scale up and can see a sick Site a mile off. There have been days when I've been going on about theoretical stuff and Kent was the only individual in the room who didn't need any explaining.
I hope I have the pleasure of working with Kent again.
These are phenomenal folks and they have all worked miracles on behalf of others. But they're, in my opinion, too modest about letting individuals know they are available (when they are obtainable). There are, of course, other people with whom I have worked about whom I could say all sorts of wonderful things but I do not believe any of them are freelancing or building consultancies or otherwise taking on Seo clients right now.
Todd Friesen doesn't count ' most if not all of you ALREADY know who Todd is but let me say unequivocably that I'd be very happy to perform with Todd again, too. And I may also mention Randy Ray, too. Excellent guy, really wise, plenty of encounter in the highly competitive verticals, I always love chatting with him.
You can find plenty of other great, smart folks in the field who deserve the rare mention on this weblog but this write-up is special in that I wanted to let you all know about my buddies, people whom I feel can deliver a high quality efficiency. I'm presently not available to take on clients. On those occasions when people ask me for consulting, I could refer them to malaysia seo, depending on circumstances.
